Roopsi Batra built her professional life around the art of interior design — creating beautiful, functional spaces for others. Then came a transition: a new chapter of life, parenthood, and with it a rekindled hunger for something that was purely, entirely hers. She picked up the paintbrush again after years of designing spaces for others, and in doing so, reclaimed a piece of herself — a space where the practical gives way to the deeply personal. Roopsi’s paintings are defined by a symphony of earthy tones and muted hues, reflecting a grounded spirit that finds beauty in the subtle whispers of nature: the flow of water, the quiet strength of a flower pushing through the earth.

AT THE BHAVKALA COLLECTIVE
Roopsi brings to the Bhavkala Collective a body of work that speaks of integration — the harmony of multiple mediums, multiple phases of life, multiple versions of oneself meeting on the canvas.
The diversity of her practice is a testament to how she sees life itself: as a multiplicity, all flowing together. Her work is calm, earthy, and deeply felt.
