Sonakshi Agarwal - Founder
Sonakshi Agarwal, born and brought up in Lucknow, is an artist, professional model, and the founder of Bhavkala. She began her modeling career in Delhi NCR at the age of 19 and has since gained over five years of experience working across fashion and media with brands and designers such as Raw Mango, Ogaan, FabAlley, Lovebirds etc.
Her artistic journey began early, shaped by instinct, curiosity, and an intuitive connection to expression across forms. Growing up in Lucknow—where art exists seamlessly within everyday life—she gradually developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning painting, movement, and music. Alongside her work in fashion, she has explored mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolour, alcohol ink, cement, and gypsum, approaching each as a way to understand process, texture, and form.
With a background in Journalism and Mass Communication, she also developed an understanding of storytelling, media, and audience engagement. Her experience further extends into marketing, including programmatic advertising and media planning with Triton Digital and iHeartMedia. Over time, her engagement with art evolved beyond practice into a deeper understanding of focus, flow, and self-awareness—where creativity became both a discipline and a grounding force.
This evolving perspective led to the foundation of Bhavkala (2020–21), followed by the Bhavkala Collective in 2024—an initiative aimed at building a socio-cultural platform that supports artists, encourages multidisciplinary expression, and creates systems for visibility, community, and sustainable creative growth.
Adarsh Jain - Technology Advisor & Early Investor
IT professional based in Vancouver, Canada, with a background in computer science and experience working in global technology environments. Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, he moved to Canada at the age of 16 to pursue his studies, later building his career in the tech industry.
While his professional career remains independent, he has played a key role in the early stages of Bhavkala through strategic guidance, technology perspective, and investment support, contributing to its foundational growth and development.
Married to Sonakshi in 2025, he continues to support the vision behind Bhavkala through long-term involvement, while maintaining his independent professional path.
